Georgia Tech: Let's wait and see what they do against Georgia Tech. I think that's a very, very scary game for Charlie Weis. Tech historically does great as underdogs in openers, defensive coordinator Jon Tenuta will find a way to pressure Brady Quinn and I'm not sure ND has anyone who can cover Calvin Johnson.

Richmond: Duke won't go winless. The Blue Devils will lose to Division I-AA Richmond in their Sept. 2 opener, but Duke will win one game to avoid a 12-loss season.

California: Cal is playing very well right now. Was surprised how much Cougars struggled at Oregon State on Saturday night. Both teams play decent defense. Cal's very, very good on offense right now. Would have to go with Bears.

Clemson vs. Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech: I just think it's going to be really hard for Clemson to get up for big games in consecutive weeks. Playing in Blacksburg on a Thursday night is never easy. Hokies aren't as good as they've been, but the defense is starting to get it together. Brandon Ore can run against Clemson. The Tigers will miss Roman Frye. I think it will be closer than the Ga. Tech game.

West Virginia: After watching both teams the last few weeks, I'd have to go with W. Va. right now. Louisville has been a little sluggish. I know Brohm is trying to get his rhythm back. If he can get his timing back, the Cards will be tough to beat at home
